prices on ebay for 3 wheelers

Prices are insane on three wheeler stuff on ebay, do people actually pay these prices on items. I must be out of the loop, 2-3 years ago I pieced together a whole 85 250r for under 1000.00. are there too many dealers on ebay now. I wanted to piece together another 350x. I might as well give up now I am not going to spend 100-200 dollars for every little piece of it.

The guys that irk me are the ones who just take a little bolt and mark it $20. A cap and mark it $40. Etc.

That's because they don't know where to look. Most people go on eBay and type in air box mounting bolt or something similar. Thinking its some one off bolt that's a unique size and just need it to ride and buy it. I will take a bolt down to the hardware store and ask for them to match it and get the same thing for 50 cents.

The price of the complete trikes blows me away!. And they are selling. I'v seen a lot of "rider" quality 250r's and 350x's go for as much as $5000 on a regular basis. That's at least 3 times what I buy them for from private parties.
But then again, they have no problem selling them for that.

I think as far as the parts go, some folks just need that last part to complete their project so they just pay the price to get it done.
