I am pretty sure the carriers are the same for 85-86. At least Honda has the same part number for both years. 86 carriers are plentiful on eBay. But if you have to go with 85 I pasted an OEM one below.

They are different between the two years. The aftermarket carrier available is actually for a 300ex but will work on the 86 350x. You can use it on the 85 350x, but a 86 rear sprocket and tapered sprocket bolts must be used.

Go to google.com

Type in Honda 350x rear axle carrier photos

You will see 3 or 4 different types there/ . . they are aluminum . . see if any are machined from billet aircraft grade aluminum.

You can likely get nos bearings from cmsnl.com . . if not, they may list the bearing style like 6003 or 6005 etc . . look for that number on eBay and bearing supply places . . I would not. Buy cheese bearings

The RAD carrier for the 85 is $219.99. I wasn't aware of any company that sold one for the 85 until now. This is an option if you don't want to bother with swapping the sprocket and the hard to find 86 bolts.

Just placed the order on radmfg.com and got the brand new bearing carrier and bearings all to my door for $280.00. Can't wait to get this 350x back in the running. Thanks everybody and a special thanks to BKM!!

Just making sure you didn't order an extra set of bearings you didn't need? That rad carrier comes with the bearings installed.
