So I will start off by saying I have an 85 350x. And i tore the front brake master apart and all the rubbers are good so I cleaned the whole thing up and put it back together and hooked everything up. And started pumping after about 300 pumps on the front brake no pressure so I took the caliper end of the hose off and I am getting g air every time I pump but no brake fluid. Any ideas?

Remove the bleeder valve and make sure it is not plugged.

Reinstall valve and leave it open and see if fluid will drain out slowly after maybe 30 seconds.

If it doesn't, close the valve the pull lever maybe 5 times then hold it on and nopen the valve for maybe 3 seconds then close it

Release the lever and repeat the same procedure several times.

Your brake Jose must be below the level of the master at all times during this process.

I had the same problem on my 85 350x had to disassemble the brake reservoir clean it .
then back bleed by hooking a syringe filled with brake fluid to the bleeder screw push the air out the reservoir

The hose routing can cause bleeding problems, too.

Generally the hose leaves the master cylinder and runs uphill before looping down towards the caliper. All the air in the lines gets trapped in the highest spot - in this case, the hose about 12 inches from the master.

Try pushing the hose down towards the caliper while bleeding.
You could also dismount the master or caliper and make one of them the highest part in the system.

I had the same problem put fluid in reservoir then blew some air through it to push the fluid down worked like a charm.

How did you get the air through it

I was finally able to get air through my front master to the caliper using a baby ear syringe then filled it up with brake fluid and forced it threw. I got pressure and the brake even worked for a pull or two then lost it and I can't get it back.

You apparently didn't do what I suggested.

I just had the same problem however i had it with my rear master cylinder. I just pumped and pumped and it finally just caught. I used a lot of brake fluid though.

ok, xlnt . . well if you did exactly as i suggested with the brakes, then most likely the seal in your master is bad.

Check the 2 little holes in it for corrosion .I had alot of corrosion in the front and rear masters on my 84 200x.One of the holes I had to clean with a pin it was so small.
