My 250es after drowning it won't idle at all, starts fine, on choke it idles a little high, (a bit above the normal idle) but right after you take the choke off it just dies, not stutter, backfire, bog down, just boom dies. But if I hold the gas a bit while taking the choke off it runs good I can go through all gears. I tried adjusting the idle screw but it won't do a thing. The idle doesn't go up or down at all.

When I drowned it I changed the gas, oil, diff oil, emptied air box, drained carb, changed air filter.

Any ideas here before I start tearing it apart with no clue what i'm looking for? Thanks.

P.S : If the puddle doesn't look that deep, it probably is.

The primary jet is clogged. Here is my tutorial on rebuilding those carbs. Everything you need to know is in there. Order an ES/SX rebuild kit. Might as well refresh it since you'll have it apart.

sound like the piolt jet is plugged as mentioned above take everything apart carefully run a fine wire through the brass jets and blow out with compressed air you will get it back to normal

If they carb is clean and is still doing it check the old fuel cack. Mine was gummed up so bad I couldn't use the reserve.
