I built a couple of tater guns that had 2" diameter barrels. It took a mail box off its post at 30 yards. Golf balls are a little too small to fit in the barrel snug. We thought about making a wad from a cloth and axle grease, but instead used dixie cups with misc. nuts and bolts. Oh the dumb stuff I used to do. :-D

I did a job at a sherriffs house and asked why he had all of these bowling balls stacked up . He told me he and his law enforcement buddies go to the nevada dessert every year and camp and shoot guns and his cannon .

spud guns are too cool 8) especially when you get them up to specs, or when you use the hair spray/ gas type  lol. I had a gun that when you would bring it up to 100psi, then fire a steel rod at something, it would take it out. It went through a portapotty, yes, and it wasn't pretty, then it would blast holes in trees, like a shotgun, and when using actual taters, oh, that was very fun. You could get them to fly hundreds of yards. Tennis balls were another favorite. We built a shooting range out here for them. If you have a rifled barrel, they can be very accurate

Hmmm....might build me one of those. Would be good for one of those days where you wish your project bike would get hit by a semi lol.
