Hi guys and gals
I am new to this forum. I have a ATC200ES which requires substantial frame repairs to the lower frame behind the engine.
The damage is caused by rust as this trike has I believe spent sometime on a salt water beach.

Based on your knowledge;
1) should I repair by welding in new lengths bent to shape or find a second hand frame with less damage.
2) what is the correct welding technique I should use and what sort of frame material is available.
3) Any other advice I need to get.......

Still stripping the trike, so photos by the weekend.

Best way to fix a frame is with a tig welder and someone that knows how to use it. If you know such a person that is probably your best bet, if not a replacement frame may be cheaper in the long run.

Purchased this parts job as is for $100 so should have at least one frame from the two

Motor is seized. I expect to have one running trike out of the two.....

Problem solved! And probably cheaper than the weld job would've been.

Almost Coolpool success.
The second frame requires some welding but not as bad the first one.
Still stepping forward on the project and no going backwards!
