So, I'm back into the trike game. And I recently purchased 2 85' 200x's. I need some info and specs for machine specifics.

So for starters, the running 200x has been swapped with a 200s motor. The previous owner cut the head pipe and simply welded a twist on muffler from an old 5hp briggs flathead. Now, will the 200s head pipe work on a Auto X? I have a 2 head pipes, one from an S and other from X.

Does anyone know what kind of air pressure goes in these X forks?

Last question for now, the S motor that i'm running has a rather tired top end... it blows lots of smoke. Rebuilding the top end and head isn't my concern. All i'm wondering is will pullstarting a 10.5:1 compression ratio piston be too much a pain? I recently rebuilt an LT230e motor with 10.25-1 piston and toke layers off the headgasket for more compression. Pull starting that machine isn"t high on my to do list...

Thanks a bunch

Dunno about the headpipe. 0 PSI in forks. The schraeder valves are to release air pressure after riding. 10.5:1 isn't bad. My old 200s had a 12:1 and I never broke a pull rope....maybe I am lucky.

Thanks for the heads up on the forks. I was confused. I think i'll need to rebuild them then. They seem too springy and bouncy. "Supa fast rebound".

I guess i'll just have to test fit the headpipes to see which i can make work. This briggs 5hp muffler sounds unpleasant and looks rather ridiculous. I'll give the 10.50:1 piston a shot. These motors could use alittle bump anyways.
The XR200 cam worth while to drop in? Its running the X carb currently. 219912

yeah, xr200 cam is a good upgrade. A little more pricey, but I prefer the webcams 389a cam.

Got around to doing the exhaust today. I ended up using the 200s head pipe. I mated it to a pro circuit 2 stroke slip on i had laying around. Yes it may sounds silly, but it sure beats looking at a briggs 5hp muffler hanging off the cylinder head. It does sound better also...

219972 here's a pic of how it turned out. Also, are these 250r tank flare thingy's? I'm also eager to hear the correct name for it... Oh, i needed a master cylinder for this machine. Made a trx250ex master work. And it was cheap!

0 PSI in forks. The schraeder valves are to release air pressure after riding,,, Thank You! obviously every manufacturer figured it out in about 1988, the world of fork seals are thankful, not to mention the performance of forks.

I release the pressure before and after the ride/race with the front wheel off the ground.
