My top 2 screws for the retainer bracket off the front wheel broke? only the bottom 2 nuts are on. would or could this be a problem with only have 2 of the 4 bolts on there. any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if the front forks off an 86 or 87 Honda 250sx will work on the 1985 Honda 250sx? anyone?

All you need is this part. Just take the fork apart and replace with this.

Are you talking about the X4 6mm studs on the axle clamp?

yes I am onformula. thanks yaegerb I've seen that one but also have seen a nicer once the guy says is for a 86-87 250sx and would rather purchase it if it fits.

I was hoping someone could give me some knowledge that the forks are inner changeable

So that's all you need?, piece of cake!

Measure them they will be 6mm, 1.0 thread pitch probably 25mm long if they are here ya go-

http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-92900-06025-0E.html

If they area bit shorter, it will be fine.

Or a 6mm, 1.0 thread pitch metric 12.2 grade bolt will work from a good hardware store like ACE or True Value, cut the head off, dress the ends, use blue locktite and double nut it to get it tight. They will not be as strong because the have no shoulder, but will work just fine.
