I would like to know what the biggest size tires I can put on my honda 1985 200x?
Just got it today, and I want to also send my engine out for new piston, rings and a general overhaul (maybe bore it out)
Plus have the engine powdercoated. I live in Palm bay florida if anyone knows a person to do my engine work?
Thanks shawn

I'd think you could go about as big as you want on your tires. Remember, the bigger the tire, the harder the engine has to work to turn them over, especially in the mud I assume you're wanting to ride in. I'd recommend gearing down (smaller front sprocket, bigger rear sprocket) to help turn your bigger and heavier tires.

22 high on your tires, anything higher will rub. Shortline10 on here,Name is Mike, he'll make your 200x better than new. He is also in Florida :)

What size rear rims? Tallest tire for the stock 8" wheel is 22.5 inches. The kenda show mad and maxis snow tires expand if you accelerate hard and are light weight. The downfall is no puncture resistance and the tread is good for sand and snow use only. Remember to check the inflated specifications on the tires you are interested in. Most tires run small, for example the duro hf243 mud and sand 25x12-9 is 24.5 inches tall and about 10.4 inches wide.

22in max....will need to play with gearings, tires that large will be a dog...20's even kinda suck on them. 18 and 19's is what a 200x likes. You can just buy take offs from a 400ex or somthing with a 9" rim.

I run 20" Mud sharks on my 200x (I know, it is supposed to be a sport machine) and have stock gearing, the tire is way to stiff (Too many plys) for trails but rips up the mud when river running. So in regard to size the 20" work well, but I would regear if you go to 22.
