I have a Tri Moto 175 and the previous owner decided it would be a great idea to take out the choke plunger assembly. Well obviously it now runs really poorly. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one? I have looked on amazon and eBay, the only ones they have are too small and don't screw into the carb, it will run well for a few seconds and then bog down and die.

I am also open to buying a new carb to boost the performance maybe?

I would look on ebay, either for just the plunger, or for a whole or semi-complete carb to steal one out of. You could also buy an aftermarket replacement Mikuni, they are around $100 new. If you buy the same size and type of carb, you can swap over all your stock jetting and not have to fight with dialing the new carb in.

What year is the 175?

Any sled shop should be able to get it for you. i had them by the dozens back in the day. Make sure you get the spring also.

Probably not the answer you wanted. If it were me I would get a new carb. I have pasted a link to one below.

Thanks, I will probably just end up ordering a new carb for it and being done with the issue.

It's been a long time since I worked on one but I think they came with both depending on the year, just measure the bore with dial calipers to be sure. I always thought that was a tiny carb for that size motor. Wonder if there is anything to gain by bumping it up a few mm's?

I went larger but I also went and bored mine out and I still plan on putting on an aftermarket exhaust.......if I ever find one
