Just picked up an 85 ATC 70 after much reading on this forum! I bought the bike about 3 weeks ago and she's well on her way. Right now I'm just working out the kinks on where to mount the oil cooler and bending the exhaust. I bought a cheapo eBay special exhaust that I'll probably swap out but it'll do for the time being! I dropped in a pirahna 140 last week so she should skoot along just fine! Thanks for all the info that everyone posts on this site!

Welcome! Thats an ambitious project to tackle right off. Did you lengthen the frame at all?

Thanks! No, didn't have to lengthen the frame but I am afraid I have to cut the front fender a little to accommodate the slight length added from the head. All that I did to the frame is the small bit of grinding I show in the pictures above! About 3/8" off the right side to accommodate the larger case and a little off the bottom of the top motor mount and done! Very simple to fit it.. I actually just got her fired up about an hour ago!

Good to have another local joining into the madness. One camp bike, then two, then the camp race track starts, berms and a couple little jumps. Big boys and their toys.....:naughty:

All it took was a broken wrist and a twisted up kx450f to free up my time to buy and build the thing! I bought this bad boy as a project to enter into a camp race we started in butter cup sand dunes last year. Tried to run my crf50 against a few of my friends kids predator 90's and got smoked.. This should do the trick! (Overlooking the 100cc rule that was put in place hahahah)

As long as your friends don't see you admitting to cheating on here, you'll have the last laugh. Two thumbs up!

Luckily I'm the only ATC! They're all rolling around on scrambler 90's and predator 90's so it'll be a cake walk :D I'm not gonna lie, this weekend I'm taking my dremal to the 140cc casting mark on the side of the cylinder to have a fighting chance if bore size comes into question! Hahaha

Just run without a fender. They look neat like that especially when tricked out. Spank those 4 wheelers!

Cool project! One thing for sure is your neighborhood will never be the same now with a hopped up ATC70 around. :p

Finally got to tare up the neighborhood yesterday! I've had a few questions regarding the work needed for this simple build so I'll be doing a write up on it here shortly! Very fun little bike and almost as snappy, response wise as my kx450f
