Anyone know where can i get a whole set of plastic for my 1984 YTM200EL?
If there is no one out there making it....How can i restore sun faded plastic.
plastics have been left outside for about 6-8 years...washed with pressure washer and the faded layer came off but it feels really really rough..

Thanks.

It's ALOT of work, but this is how I did mine.Scrape faded plastic with a sharp razor blade held at a 45 degree(make sure to scrape backwards and don't cut into plastic. Then start sanding with 220 grit wet. Then 320,400,600,1500 and last 2000 grit. Each grit takes a lot of sanding. Last: there is a product called plastic renew. It goes on last. This worked great for me. Hope it helps you.

I have not tried this yet, but it seems good. A visual always helps.

So what i am doing right now is that i took a razor blade and scraped all the older oxidized plastic off then sanded with 220 grit on a orbital sander. I am using a spray paint called krylon fusion to paint my plastics. It is formulated to bond to plastic without any other prep. I will post pics after i am done but the difference is night and day if u do it in layers and lightly sand between layers. Hope this helps.

I used the boiled lin seed oil and paint stripper method on my atc 125m. It worked marvelously. click here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KevwAZutZwI)
