Hello,
I recently purchased an ATC 70 and I finally have it running very well. My concern is that when I let off the gas while riding I can hear what sounds like gear whine. It doesn't make the noise in neutral when revving the engine only while driving it after you stop accelerating or coasting. Also I used 10w-40 oil which is what the manual says do I need one specifically designed for a wet clutch?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

Probably just the chain tensioner , their all noisy .

Chain tensioner for sure. I've owned 18 atc70's and pretty much all of them had the whine when you let off the throttle. Nothing to worry about

I would like to Also add that new tight sprocket rubbers and a decent drive chain helps ALOT with the noise .

Heed what shortline and briano say, they are spot on. Some can be very noisy. 10W40 is fine for a wet clutch. It's the only viscosity I use for no great reason that I can think of.
