85 250es no spark

Picked up a 85 250es the other day and it has no spark, checked the pickup coil and the stator both seem good, tried changing the coil, cdi, checked all grounds and connections neutral switch, everything is good, only things wrong is the ignition key wires are ripped off and the black and red are tied together and there is no kill switch switch in the block on the handle bars.. Need help please!!

I would try and get the wiring schematic for it. Bypass that switch and check for a good ground. I hate people who ebonically engineer wiring.
