Honda recoil Decompression system ?

Dose anyone know if the decompression system off a 1982 honda 185s will work with a 1984 200s? i was told all of the recoils with this system are universal any info would help.

I have both of those machines, and they sure look identical to me. That said, I've never actually tried to swap them.

The recoils will bolt up so I assume the decomp assy should work.

i sure hope so i have one comeing in the mail, it would be a bummer if i had to search for another.

The part number is the same for both the 82 185s and the 84 200s recoil starter so you good to go.
