Tire Sizing

I have a quick question, My three wheeler has 22x11x8 tires on it, I want to put 18x9.50x8 tires on it. The only problem is that the new tires are a little narrower, will they work. I have two piece rims.

the should go on there, you will just have a little smaller footprint. might be tougher getting bead to seat
