this has been tickling my brain for a week now. i love it. its really fun to think about, and its very frustrating, so i thought i'd share with you. take a break from politics and misery for awhile.
The Monty Hall Problem- There are three doors.
1 2 3
In no particular order, behind two of the doors, there is a goat. behind the remaining door is a new car. You get to pick a door. For example, you pick door number 1.
1 2 3
After you have chosen, one of the remaining doors is opened, (lets say door #2) revealing a goat. This leaves two doors. #1 and #3 One hides a goat and one hides a new car. You have chosen door number 1.
1 Goat 3
But you are given a chance to switch your choice. You can now pick between door 1 and door 3. One contains a car, one contains a goat. The question is,,,, should you? Should you choose to switch your pick to the remaining door? Does it benefit you to switch your choice to door number 3?
Have fun
