So I'm new to the site. i am a honda trx 250r guy. Recently a neighbor of mine asked if i would get some older trikes he had running so he could sell them. The first i started on is a 1983 200E Big Red. The trike is absolutely 100% original and in very nice shape...with the exception of what the years have done to the chrome and painted parts. I did all the basics (carb/oil/plug/battery) and got it running today with no problems. It just needs a little tuning and will be good as new. My question is first off how much should he ask for an ATC like this that appears to have never been rolled over, has a perfect seat, front n rear racks, plastic, fuel tank lining, tool kit? I will post pictures when i figure out how but so far the only bad that i can find is: dry rotted tires, choke cable is froze, paint and chrome are showing their age. Ive restored a number of 250r's and to restore this to original seems very cheap and easy. It is all labor and paint/polish work the expensive stuff is in great shape. If anyone out there would be interested i would be glad to speak if you email me. Thanks for the thoughts.

It's hard to say, but for me to pay a premium it must need nothing. It would need to have all new tires and a choke cable. Then I would say around here it would bring 8? But we are in big farm country and they sold a lot of them around here.

When i am done everything will be 100%. I was just saying what is currently a hold up. The only shortcut is that I'm just putting tubes in the tires. I don't know what the next owner will want so i am not spending $200 on tires that they might not want. Attached are some pictures. As you can see moisture has worked over some of the chrome and paint, but the expensive plastics and such are mint. I pulled off the front tire tonight and the front drum brake housing looks like it was just installed last week. Someone will be getting a nice addition to their collection with this.224959224960224961224962224963

You are right that thing is nice, definitely worth new tires and a choke cable. Hard to find them that clean. Good luck

Hey the chrome probably will clean up with some steel wool as for the paint it looks about near mint to me
