Hi! I bought a 85 Big Red and I'm new at this forum!

I have to solve a problem. The automatic clutch does it's job, except for the last speed... When I shift up to the 5th and go WOT, the motor revs to high for a moment, so I release a little bit the lever and then the motor revs down with the wheels.

Some ideas? what can I check?

Adjust the clutch first and see if it helps ?
Might be time to replace the main clutch .

Thank you!.................try keeping your foot away from shift lever after you shift to 5th gear....your foot could be the problem..or your shifter is not springing back..does this only happen in 5th gear?
