1985 350x

For some reason when it gets cold out the engine locks up. Warms up outside past freezing or so it starts and runs. This has happened to me 3x now. Makes it a lil hard to go riding.
Oil has no water in it , should have no condensation in the engine. I got it good and warm the last few times out. 4th gear wfo chewing my way threw the snow.
Engine has been apart from what I can tell. the cases have been welded. It seems to have stock compression by the way it kicks. It kicks pretty weak compared to my other 350x. No shavings in the oil from what Ive seen.

Anyone seen this on one?

The engine stops running when it "locks up"? You can't turn it over even in neutral using the kick starter? My only idea would be that maybe snow may melt and then refreeze on your front sprocket, but I'd think that you could still have the engine running in neutral or with the clutch pulled in.

Kick starter does nothing. It started locking up before it even started snowing.

Im more curious if anyone has seen this at the moment. I have 2 more 350's that want money too. I might even sell this one. I found a big bore 350x I might want more.
