Hi ....my first post, thanks for reading. Purchased my bike last month....first 3 wheeler since 1984.

Front suspension is rock hard, so I was about to remove the tire, axel, and forks. The PO had reversed the axel, and instead if the castle nut and cotter key being on the left side of the bike, they are on the right......next to the brake drum. The other end of the axel just has a hole drilled through a flange that cannot be driven through the hole in the forks.

Other than "regular" problems with seizure, rust, sticking, etc., should I be aware of anything that this mis-alignment would cause when I try to disassemble?........ maybe it's not an issue at all, just seeking some first hand advice. Enjoy the forums....great info.

FYI, -24C here in New Brunswick, and I'm working in an unheated tarp tent.....lol
