Getting ready to put some new tires on my 85 200x. I'm leaning towards a kenda max for the front, and Kenda scorpions for the rear. What does everybody run on their 200x? Looking for recommendations before I order.

Right now I'm using a front max on the front of my Auto x. The rears are the wore out ones that came on it. After I get my brakes all worked out, I'm leaning toward the Scorpions on back too. Some people put mud tires on their 200x, but since I'm running an open element air filter on mine, I'm staying away from the mud!

I use the GBC Dirt devil tires on my 200X. They are a great tire and due to the way the tread is, it almost acts like a paddle in the sand.229347229348

I have been doing a bit of shopping for my 200x as well.

That was going to be my vote as well. They are not that expensive compared to other tire sets. Lots of big shops have them and they go on sale from time to time.

Are you going to use stock rims?

Are you planning to go with the original 22 inch tires?

These.....

Duro Berm Radier 4ply 18x10x8 tires
Wanda Journy P321 23.5x8x11 tire (nearly copy of OEM 200x tire)

I think I'm still gonna go with the Kenda max for the front. Now the rears......
I've been looking at the Maxxis Razr's as well. I know that a lot of people put the 20" on the rear, but I do like keeping the OEM size. Just worried that 22" Razr's will be too heavy for the machine. I like the look of the square tires in the rear over the ballon. So Razr's or Scorpion's. Or do I drop to a 20"? So many decisions!

How do the 18" handle? What does it do to the overall ride? I'm just worried that it'll sit too low....

I'm planning on 22's on the stock rims- arlaunch. But it sounds like a lot of guys go to 20's.
