I've just recently picked up a 1986 250r in really good restored shape I have been looking for some harder to find original parts in good shape. I watch eBay not most of those parts are beat is there a better place to look? Thanks for the help just trying to make it as original as possible. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160321/60d3d1cde8dbc00d27ad9e0bdf060760.jpg

Wow that is a really nice one I think some parts are still available new for the 85 86. What parts you need? Don't look like it needs much.

That's sweet. How much was the damage?

I see skid plates on eBay for a decent price often. Handlebar will be much harder.

This guy makes a spot-on reproduction liquid R set of handlebars:

As well as front brake lines and holders.

Griller I actually traded for a banshee that I picked up on a different trade. I was happy with the trade bike has a PA title and was completely restored every part was taken off and powder coated. Original rear fenders and seat I believe front is aftermarket. Motor was completely tore down and has about a tank of fuel through it.

I still run a different banshee but the trike is the garage queen.

I think that's a great trade. I would trade a Banshee for a 250R any day just because of how easy it is to find a banshee and how scarce Honda 250R have become in comparison.

Aren't the '86 cases supposed to be gray? Awesome bike, regardless.
