I have the plug out and it's still hard to pull. I have 2 more 185S and they easy to pull. Any help would be great.

How hard to pull? Like it tries to rip your arm off?

Yes it feel like it's going to pull your arm off. Even with the plug out

It may be time to look deeper into the engine. My 1980 turns over easy.

Stored with water in recoil area, pull recoil, oil or penetrating oil to area, especially behind plate. Just had a TRX 70 with same issue, oiled, spun it with a crescent wrench to loosen rust for a while, put recoil back on and pulled really easy.

one of these helps (they make two sizes, get the big one) Just got one for my wife's 185s (Bored to 200 with 10.25:1 high compression piston). It is still tough but makes it doable while I hunt for an electric start for a 185s.

I took the recoil off and it works like it should. I heard it might be the crank shaft bearings

Im thinking it jumped timing. Need to go through all that and i think you will find your problem. But its hard to say without a little background info. Has any of the motor been apart recently or what? Did you get it that way, or did it just start out of the blue
