in my opinion, they need to sterilize all females with a chemical in the water. when a woman gets married, she can then "apply" to have children. this means, her background (no major criminal records), no drug usage (pot once in a while is one thing but not a big druggie), financial capabilities of the couple (house hold income is enough to support the children), and finally most importantly, an IQ test. if she or he fails, neither are granted permission to get the antidote to have children. this stops all the dumb shits from breeding any more and ends the stupid line. Now that being said, if you have kids, you will be asked to have a minimum of 2, preferable 4-5 with some gov. assistance provided for birthing and food aid. why? this helps re-populate us with inelegant, healthy, worth while people. no more pill heads and crack rats breeding to get free $. they cannot qualify thus are sterile.

amendments to this are things like illegal families will be removed asap. families wishing to legally become part of our country must pass all listed tests as well. and English will be required to be spoken and learned in order to become a US citizen not just memorize a few words, but the language must be spoken in conversation.

While I agree with Oscar in principal, I don't think we as a quazi-wannabe free society should allow our government to seize such dictatorial power over us. What I would support would be something in between the broken system we have and the plan Oscar proposes... A plan that would stop incentivizing people to keep having children to boost that government (read: taxpayer, IE people who actually PAY taxes) benefit every month.

If you fall on hard times, I am happy to help. But I will not willingly support and reinforce bad behavior by rewarding poor choices with a fatter benefit. For example: If you ave 2 kids and are plugging away, making a living and then fall on hard times, yes, we should help you get back on your feet and self sufficient again. But, if you choose to have more kids while on that assistance, you DO NOT get an increase in benefits... period. I don't think we have to go down the road the Chi-coms have. But I think that if we stop rewarding bad decisions it might just spur people to start taking responsibility for themselves..

IDK, maybe this is a libertarian-never-never-land pipe dream.... I'm just very leery about entrusting the government with such power, no matter what the end goal may be.. You all know what a great job government does with any task it takes on.. I am just not wired to be an "ends justify the means" type of person.. And I really don't believe that the ends ever end up being what were intended in the beginning......

Seriously the last three decades if a Chinese couple were having a daughter she would be eliminated. Now after this practice for 30+ years the Chinese Govt allow more then one child because they have seen a decline in the worker pool.

Humans like all creatures on the rock called earth are here to procreate. This is the purpose of all organisms, start to meddle with the natural order of things and trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro will hit the fan and become imbalanced. So sterilizing a whole society is not a good idea just like outlawing guns is a bad idea.

That said any person on govt assistance or working a govt job should have drug testing as a requirement. Taxpayers lose their job in some cases to a random drug test, so the people on govt assistance should have to pass a drug screen every month they receive a welfare check.

I've been quick with the puns, double entendres, etc. since I was a wee little smart trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. My whole family from my grand parents on down were all smart alecks. Risque jokes around the table after holiday dinners. Children of course were shooed out of the room, but, well us kids found ways to eaves drop. ;)

About 20 years ago when I had first started dating my wife, she was lead singer in a local Twin Cities band, mostly Top 40 Pop tunes. I went down to watch the band one night. I was sitting with the band members having a beer and shootin the shat before the last set when this fairly drunk chic walks up and says "Can you guys play some Wynnona?" I instinctively blurted out "Wynnona you just go sit back down" Before any of the band members could say "No, sorry" (even tho it was VERY obvious they were NOT a country band) Dead silence from everyone at the table, the "Did he just say what I think he said" type silence for like a fraction of a second, and then everybody just lost it laughing.
