wasteful govt jerks, they could have sold them out of state and used the money for the city. or even parted them out of they were worried that they would end up back on city streets causing havoc.

What, sell the parts to the same hoodlum gangs riding city streets illegally??? Actually, to say most of these people are simply "riding" probably isn't accurate for alot of these cases. Selling them out of state.... How do you do that with machiens that have no documentation of ownership to legally transfer to the new owner out of state??? No police department, town, city, etc is goig to sell something like this when they don't have legal documentation of ownership to transfer...

Have you seen videos of what these people do???

Here ya go, an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30lKGIdOzQY

If the bikes and ATV's that were crushed were confiscated from asswipes like this, then I think responsible people like us should support it! This is NOT the kind of riding I associate myself with and never will. I ride legit, always will. I choose to be part of the solution and not part of the problem, always will. Anyone who gets all nutted up about this story should have a closer look at the story before crying foul on the police for this... Yeah running dozers over them is grandstanding for publicity, but who cares?

deathman53
05-17-2016, 09:50 PM
no.....I know a guy who used to buy quads and dirtbikes from police impound lots. They are issued new VIN numbers and old ones are welded over. He stopped buying them because of "gang" members who were coming up to him to him and telling him......that quad over there is my boys quads, I got your name, truck and plate number,if you buy it, he is coming over to you to get it back. Also, in that video, they only crushed the "dime a dozen" ones that they can hardly get $500 from. But yeah, it was mostly done for publicity as the deter and show them what is gonna happen to their "rides" if they are caught. I am told that most of the time, cops try to stop them and if they take off, the cops stop chasing. Its way too much of public risk to chase these people on streets. Its been a problem for years in the cities, the dirtbikes are fast, agile, cheap and easily disposed of. Also can't be traced back, as most are never titled or are stolen to start with.

Not a single Hooligan gave a shlt about this spectacle. They know the risks and still ride. All the injustice in the world and they're worried about helmetless dirt bikers riding on the street. Solve some real crime for christ sake.

12 oclock boys kick ass. Philly Hang Gang as well. Thanks for the video joe.

Deathman: I honestly didn't know a VIN could so easily be changed. Point taken and I stand corrected. Good point though on it being risky for the people who buy these machines from the police.

Damon: I hear what you are saying, but these gangs are taking things a fair bit farther than simply riding helmetless. Wouldn't you agree??

Yeah it's a shame the bikes get destroyed, I get it. But if I had to drive every day in an area where these goons are doing stuff like that I would want something done about it too. Just because there are more serious crimes out there being committed doesn't mean we ignore everything else. They make more bikes every day, it's not like they are crushing a row of '70 Chevelle SS's.

But you are right, the hoodlums don't give a single shyte about the demonstration. They'll just go steal another one.

DohcBikes
05-17-2016, 10:16 PM
I dont know man. Im sick of people making a big deal out of very small issues when there are big issues being ignored daily. These riders are easy to see and hear coming. If they hurt anyone but themselves, all involved are pretty stupid. Wheelies are not a crime. Helmet laws suck.

Growing up in Baltimore I can say a few things…First off, the 12 o'clock boys are an awesome spectacle to behold and I've never seen someone hold a longer wheelie. That would all be fine except for a few problems:

-No insurance/tags =no accountability when they hurt someone or destroy property
-PEOPLE USE THEM TO RUN DRUGS (and don't tell me I'm wrong because I've seen it firsthand and have friends that are BCPD)
-damn near all of them are stolen (again don't tell me I'm wrong here because we've seen my friend's stolen DB's riding around)

That being said, Baltimore has bigger fish to fry…like catching Freddie Gray's crackhead mother when she gets loaded and crashes her Lambo into a row of parked cars…oh, but there's a standing order for my friend not to arrest because the Mayor is afraid of another riot. F*** that place, glad I'm outta there.

I'm all for re-titling and selling them (maybe ebay would be a good solution to bring in buyers from elsewhere) to bring some much-needed money back into city schools or city Police/Fire/EMS.

RIDE-RED 250r

I don't really disagree with most of your last post Damon, other than while I agree that there are bigger fish to fry, I think this is also a fish worth frying. Just another chapter in the endless tug of war between the law and criminals, we can't just do nothing about it. There is so much wrong with the world, where the hell do we start??

This is a typical political reaction to a real problem. All show, no solution. This is the story in Boston. In the last ten years, illegal urban riding has become more and more popular. In the beginning, the police would put a stop to blatant offenders. Then, naturally, the misunderstood youths would run from the cops. Naturally, the cops chased. Kids, and others, got hurt. The liberal outcry over these barbarian cops chasing these poor, underprivileged children was heard by the ULTRA liberal administration. The Mayor's office issued an edict to the Boston Police not to chase dirtbikes/ATVs under any circumstances. The number of disadvantaged, underemployed, future community organizers riding in the Dorchester and Roxbury sections of the city skyrocketed. The Police maintained their ordered hands-off approach. Videos surfaced of these Lebowski Urban Achievers all over youtube. It became widely known that the cops were hands off. They started taunting the cops. Donuts in the center of Mass Ave intersections, epic wheelies past BPD headquarters. It was pretty cool, actually, to see liberal policy failing before your eyes. Anyway, the number of riders grew incredibly large, and expansion was inevitable. Riders spilled into White, UBER-liberal surrounding areas like Newton, Wellesley, West Roxbury, and Walpole. A group of 300+ riders even drove through the Ted Williams Tunnel last year. It was like a scene out of Road Warrior. The (new) Mayor's phone started ringing. White people were scared!! Furthermore, riders sought out off-road terrain, which led them to parks and "conservation areas." Liberal strongholds. THINK OF THE WIPPERWHILLS!! OH THE HUMANITY!! More and more outcry for action. So, whats a liberal as$hole leader to do? Can't chase em...... Can't let em' ride...... I know!!! Lets do nothing, put it on TV, and claim victory! So they rounded up all the abandoned, clapped out, worn out, junk bikes they could find. Everything in project yards and chained to light poles and under tenement porches. They piled them on a few ramp trucks and took some pictures. Then they showed youtube clips on the news of guys riding wheelies on brand new 450's and raptors, and banshee street races. They cut to the ramp truck photos of chinese quads from 2006 and Sunl 50cc scooters and the headline was "Cops Crack Down on Illegal ATV Riders". Meanwhile, Thurston Howell III and Lovie sit back in their easy chair, sip their tea, and say "See, Lovie, I told you that call to the Mayor would result in swift action!" Then he kisses her on the cheek, turns on his ADT Home Security Blanket, and nods off to sleep. Dreaming of Hillary's Inauguration Day. One step closer to ridding himself of the guilt of Daddy's inheritance.

Last week at a gig I watched a known police officer sit there and drink for two hours, then walked out to a parking ticket on my windshield for being parked backwards in a parking spot. I was loading band equipment.

Guess who wrote the ticket.

Ok I'll tell ya. It was the officer that had left the bar not 30 minutes before. Didn't know it was legal to write tickets while under the influence of alcohol.

Many cops are criminals, too.

redsox
05-19-2016, 10:51 AM
yup, they sure are!! I'd say the same percentage as bricklayers, dentists, school teachers. But politicians have em' all beat. By a mile. And, if that guy can drink on duty, then, fahk it, you should be able to park wherever the heck you want. And lets all smoke crack because that one cop you knew one time was drinking. heck, i saw a cop going 85 one time, so we should all be able to drive 100!! These are all good solutions to societal problems.

I didn't say I should be able to park where I want. I was parked in a parking spot, just backed into it.Pretty fvcking ridiculous first of all, second of all a drunk officer has no business even being an officer. He's going to regret his mistake.

That IS pretty stupid Damon. I was not aware you had to be facing a specific direction in a parking spot. Hell, around here I'd rejoice if people could put one car in ONE parking slot!!

Feel your pain on loading band equipment. I used to play drums in a band with ny dad and a couple other family members. It's ALOT of work! Haven't played in awhile due to my dad's condition deteriorating.. :(

El Camexican
05-19-2016, 06:16 PM
I'm taking a wild guess on the circumstances here, but if this happened in a diagonal parking slot then it means the vehicle had to be backed in while facing traffic. That's likely why it's a finable offence. I thought most of urban America was zoned in accordance to what the property was to be used for, i.e. a business establishment should have a designated loading area? Unloading equipment on a public sidewalk (if that's how it was)sounds like a great way to get sued because someone walked into an open van door.

Next time buy the guy a beer and maybe he'll leave you alone

Nah since I have him on video drinking I think I'll report him instead. The $25 ticket will get paid. That way everyone gets what's coming to them, fair is fair. Hope it was worth it for him.

P.S. this is what's wrong with the world. And my point exactly. Live and let live. Its a fvcking truck parked backwards, get over it and go bust a d.u.I. instead. I was 100% sober. Ordinance this my friend.

If someone walks into a van door I laugh my azz off at them. Learn to walk.

Nico,

Why is it that you think people should fear the repercussions of holding a police officer responsible for breaking the law?

Try to remember that as I've posted here before, I was practically raised by one.

Can't wait to hear this.

El Camexican
05-19-2016, 07:18 PM
Excusing what? I'm not condoning it (drinking) at all. In fact I think that IF the guy was drinking alcohol on duty he shouldn't have a badge. I'm just trying to get you to think your plan through to the end.

Have you ever had something planted on you during a "routine stop" in the middle of nowhere? I'll spare you my story, it's decades old and maybe I had it coming for other reasons. I don't blame all cops for what happened to me, just the dirty ones. Like Redsox said, there are some, but they are the minority. Took me a long time to realize that and move on, but I'm glad I did.

Right doesn't always make might. Yea, it would be great if it did, but that's not the world we live in. You want to take a shot at his badge go for it, but I'd suggest moving to a new county, or even State pretty soon after.

Good luck :beer

You didn't answer the important question.

Why is it that you think people should fear the repercussions of holding a police officer responsible for breaking the law?

I know you guys don't believe it but as I told you before, I've had a uniformed deputy Sheriff by the collar screaming in his face while his commanding officer and 100 other people stood there and watched. My friends climbed all over their cruiser and took pictures of each other dry humping the bumper. Not a single person was arrested.

To top it off they started harassing my family as well. I ended up moving to keep the peace. When winning means spending money on a lawyer to stay out of jail for something you didn't do its not really winning.

I was thinking the headline would be more along the lines of:

"World Renowned Cross Country Triker Behind a Different Kind of Bars"

Local hero Damon X, AKA "BIG D" was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to traffic and possession of pornography depicting minors engaged in sexual activity following an early morning raid on his mobile rock band van residence. The raid was conducted following an anonymous phone call to the Nebraska Crime Stoppers hotline.

Neighbors and family members were shock at the allegations, claiming that Damon had never discussed drugs or kiddy porn with them, but one resident of the neighborhood who agreed to speak only under the condition of anonymity did say; " I always though his obsession with three wheelers was a little odd".

Damon's legal representative, local dirt bag, Lionel Hutz has told sources that he is expected to appear in front of a judge sometime this afternoon to face the charges. Huzt says they will plead not guilty and promised to fight for Damon's freedom far as long as the money lasted.

This shocking arrest comes just one week after the local police department was rocked by allegations of officers drinking on duty. Police spokesman Dudley Doright was quoted saying that he hopes this arrest will help restore the communities faith in the police force's dedication to preventing crime following the now discredited allegations.

When did I say he was in uniform drinking? Must have missed that part. He was in plain clothes at the bar, then went on duty. Unless he was walking around ticketing people off duty while under the influence of alcohol. I'll find out if he was on duty or not, as If it matters. I've known him for almost 25 years. I shook his hand and spoke to him that night. I have him on video And in still photos drinking. If you think for a second I'm posting it here you're insane. It's a legal case.
