1984 atc200s cleaning the Stator

I have a 1984 atc200s. I brought it back to life and it ran great until the side oil seal went out and covered the fly wheel, stator, and recoil stator in oil. I was wondering how and with what should I use to clean the stator.

I'd just use some brake cleaner. Brake cleaner evaporates so quickly, I don't think it would do any harm. But I don't think it is too big of a deal if there is some oil on the parts either.
