Took it apart everything seems great little wear from one of the gears that went loose when I kick started.

YUP. Bet your bolts were loose when you tried to kick it over.... Find a good welder and try to salvage it... They are getting pretty pricey now-a-days....

I can weld it if you can't find a good one. I gave up on my Tri-z 250 I hmm cracked 2 of those covers so I put a yz490 engine in mine pm me and leave me a contact number

Thanks for the offer I might take you up on it! I'll see if there is someone local. Maybe have it welded, if it brakes again I was thinking [emoji848] 350 banshee in it!

I'm parting out a 1985 Yamaha Tri-Z at the moment. The motor has a good cover, but I would like to sell the motor as a whole. If you're interested PM me.
