I acquired my second ATC and hoping someone can help me find an ignition coil (including plug wire) for my new to me 90. The ones I see on ebay look different. Any help finding one would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Cool machine!

Seems service Honda sells the plug cap for the 77.

I can't find the wire or the coil out there though...

Let us know when you get the thing running.

I agree with getting a Chinese unit, they work well and cheap to replace ...

Having issues with this 90. I tried a new 6V coil but can only get a really weak spark that you can barley see or feel. I'm starting to look at replacing the stator. The last person I know that saw this wheeler run said that it was slow and the head light would only work with the rpms up. Does that sound like a stator?

That bike's a survivor! Great find there :)

I hope it's helpful to share a small fact about ignition coils I was reading.
There are two different types of coils, one which is energized by the battery, and the other which is energized by the stator(I want to call that a magneeto, but my terminology might need improvement). Might be a good thing to check into for yours.

When you mention a 6v coil, I went to thinking maybe you have the type meant for a bike with a battery.

This tip here is slick:
You can totally replace your points with an electronic ignitor. I just did this successfully on my ATC70 using two different units:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0057I3TVW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
is the one I recommend, because its self grounding and easier to hook up because its slightly smaller.

The first one I purchased, also worked fine:

I do also have weak spark, but I'll report back after I've tried some things to remedy that issue:
*Swap coil from another bike, making sure the grounds are good.
*New spark plug cap, the one on there is half gone.
*Lastly I'll try swapping flywheel from another bike

Hope this helps, at least I've got lots of enthusiasm for that machine.
Nothing compares to spinning donuts, and sliding around corners in the snow on those things :)
Have fun!

What coil did you end up using??? I have the same ATC with the same issue.
