http://m.ebay.com/itm/1985-HONDA-ATC-250R-NOS-COLLECTOR-ONE-OWNER-SURVIVOR-W-TITLE-/201598895650?nav=SEARCH Saw the listing on Ebay from MacWorth and thought I would share. This 250r is absolutely gorgeous.

I dont see how someone could buy such and awsome trike and not ride it .It would be like being married to the hottest woman on the planet and not having sex with her.I love riding and racing my trikes.

When you pay close to 10k for one of the nicest survivor machines out there your not going to take it on the race track and beat the snot out of it. Your not even gonna put gas in the tank. The minute you take it out and take it for a 5 minute rip, there goes 5k out the door.

If someone can afford to pay that much just to look at it, I'm sure they can afford to buy one to ride/race.

Anyone can restore a piece, but you only get original once (take that term loosely since this was slightly restored).

That would be pretty awesome to put in the living room on display! And yes, if you can afford that, you can afford another machine as a rider. That would be a disgrace to ride that thing.

I dont think the origanal owner payed 10 grand back in 1985.I payed $1600 for mine back then in the same condition as the one for sale.Im talking about the guy McWorth bougjt it from.

And nobody pays $495 for a all original 1932 ford roadster in 2016.

Macworth will also have an 85 250r on display at the Owls Head Transportation museum. As part of their "faster" exhibit.
This one has a fender extender and fender brace.

I really have to go over there sometime. I haven't been since I was a kid. It's only 25 minutes from my house.

Purdy machine They're not now, or ever getting any cheaper because guys with disposable income are reliving their glory years at any expense. It sucks, but it is reality. There isn't a 80's performace atv out there now that is still cheap for clean examples. I just wonder if the 400ex's and "big 4" 450R's will bring good money for clean units like this one 20-30 years from now?

That's my point the macworth's was restored a little with NOS parts. Did you read the description?

Macworths was not a full blown restoration like the one you posted. It came with every original part to put it back on if you wanted. You may not see it, but there is a drastic difference in these two bikes.

Don't get me wrong - this 86 you pictured is gorgeous, but it doesn't have the plastic radiator protector screens = not even 100% complete. not busting balls, just pointing it out.

Doubtful for one reason - they will still be making 4 wheelers in 20-30 years. I think much of the value from trikes is their "stigma". They do not make them anymore and never will again. It's a product that is no longer allowed in the USA. Like Jarts!

DANG! Good eye! I better tell the guy cuz he is crazy about complete bikes. He just might still be looking fir a NOS one.

Tell him he needs a gold adjusting knob for the rear shock also.

Engine skid plate would be a nice touch.

Who restored the '86 250R? I am curious what a Vintage Motorsports '86 250R would go for.
