Good morning folks. So got a question for yall, i bought this trike and the guy said it had a little oil leak. Well a little oil leak is more like a steady stream. It appears to be coming from the output shaft by the drive sprocket. Ive never taken the HI/LOW box off of one of these. Are there any springs or clips in it that is going to shoot out during removal? Dont want to loose parts that can not be replaced easily.

84 200ES or 83 200E?
Either way here are some repair manuals to look over and see what the high low looks like inside.

There are no parts that are going to fly out, just pull the sub-trans housing and lean it out as it is removed. Very simple design inside. even if you drop it ant eh parts go everywhere it is easy to put back together. I pull pics off of partzilla to see the order of the rebuild.

I did a 200es not long ago. Like stated above, nothing flew apart and it was easy to get back together. I am not sure how different the es assembly is from the e but I am guessing its very similar if not the same. I will see if I still have pictures of it apart.
