What about some of the drum brake motorcycles, like 1969 SL90's etc. They had mechanical operated brakes and have a similar wheel base.

Buy an 83 200es rear brake cable , I went threw this issue a few years back when I needed a longer one for my HPATC 185s build .

i thought about that so i checked with a guy on ebay and he says they are the same length as a 185s?

I just did a google search for 30 inch mechanical brake cable, a few options popped up. This might start to point you in the right direction.

The eBay vendor is wrong the 200es cable is 3-4 inches longer than a std 185s cable .
