I'm looking at a new carb for my 85 Tecate 3. It is a Mikuni vm34-168. Just want to double check with the Tecate experts if this is a good choice for a stock bore engine.
Thanks in advance!!:)

Well the VM is often a good choice for fitting in the boots. You could consider a 36-38mm carb too. I believe Keihin carbs are shorter a bit and you have to stretch the rear boot some. I like Keihin cause they are easy to tune and dont leak. But a VM Mikuni is good choice for stock replacement. I personally would step up to 36-38mm but thats just me. Go to like Sudco site and check dimensions of carbs
