Put some of the finishing touches on an educational restoration of a 1984 200ES BIG RED. I say educational because that is what is was. I used this BIG RED to figure out what works to make future restorations easier. I learned about plastic welding, plastic refinishing, recovering a seat, adding hand and thumbwarmers, halogen headlight upgrades, and painting with basecoat clearcoat amongst other things. I also used Redkote for a gas tank coating and TP tools rust cover paint on the frame and racks with good results. The motor also got a top end rebuild. I know it is not close to some of the great work I've seen on this forum but I am happy with the results and I know the next restorations will be easier. I just pulled in a 1982 200E and two 1983 200E BIG REDS in the shop for restoration.
