So I've been searching for a few days for a replacement swing arm bolt for my 85 200x. On most sites they are discontinued, and the ones that aren't want $50+ for them, even eBay has used ones for $45+... Does anyone know where these can be bought at a decent price (or perhaps someone parting out a 200x) or maybe a bolt from another trike/bike that works? Or is there any reason why I couldn't use a normal grade 8 bolt? This would be my first time replacing one so I haven't had the opportunity to look at one up close.

If you need swingarm pivot bearings, I sell delrin replacement bushings for the 200x. No more stuck pivot bolts.

Have you already ruined yours by cutting it out?

Are these bolts getting harder to come by? Might be time to make some new bolts in the lathe.

Interesting,

I bought a mint condition ATC 200X a a year or 2 ago.

It has been the worst ATC i have owned as of yet.

Every last bit of the machine is frozen from the calipers to the master cylinders.

I got most of the items swapped out with replacement parts that are not as nice looking as the original. I plan to check the swing-arm bolt this fall. I am positive i will need to cut it out.

I will call up HRE.

I would rather spend the big bucks someplace like that then buy some overpriced Ebay POS.

Thanks

Negative. It was ruined when I bought the trike. Looked like the threaded end was bashed on by the PO without a nut on the end. It's not stuck, I moved it fairly easily already, just don't want to take it completely out until I have a new bolt to go back in.

Delrin bushing do help with not ever eating bolts again. Bearings and bushings are the last thing ppl grease or think about even replacing. Most have no clue and will sell the bike before they replace them lol. We have all hear " bearings a little play in them but not bad" a little play is already bad!
