Hello all, I'm hoping someone here can help me out with this question. I just got done replacing the rear brake shoes and cables on my 84 200s and have run into a problem. When I started, both cables were missing so I was unsure which cable went where on the actuating lever. I attached the rear hand brake cable to the top position on the lever and the foot brake cable to the lower position. the problem I have is that the hand brake lever does not have enough throw to make the brake work properly. I can pull the lever all the way back to the grip and it will not lock the brakes. If I adjust it tighter, the brakes drag and the foot brake has almost no free play. I'm thinking maybe I have the cables reversed and the foot brake cable should be attached to the top position in the actuating lever? I've looked around for a picture of the setup but can't find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Mike
