As stated above I have a problem with my stator the wire touched a 12v hot wire now I have no spark do I just need to replace the stator or did it fry something else? I pulled the stator and generator I see no damage but as we all know just because you can't see it don't mean it's not there.

Check the resistance first before spending $$$. It could be anything from CDI Unit to ignition coil.
Check the resistance between the exciter coil (Black/Red) to Ground. I think it should be between 100-400

Yes rocks you are correct.100-400 ohms
Ignition coil primary-0.2-0.8 ohms
Ignition coil secondary-3-5 ohms
Pulse generator-50-150
This is from memory, somebody correct me if im wrong

You can also disconnect the positive at coil, hook meter + to it,other to ground, spin engine over and check voltage. Do the same with the stator and see if your getting ac voltage
