81 250r question

I just picked up a 81 250r and got her fired up today and ripped through the gears. But then I noticed this part of the frame, I don't think it's factory but I'll post a pic from my phone

I did a compression test and it was only 90, I pulled it apart today. I'm gonna bring to machine shop tomorrow. I'm wondering what the 25 on top of piston stands for.

It looks like you need a new expansion chamber it looks alittle smashed near the head

25 on top of piston could be 25 thousands over. If it has a cast piston probably Honda oversize piston.The 81 250r is a sweet ride I love mine .Iv raced it and trail ride it.

236802236802I got my cylinder bored 40 over,did the first heat cycle. I'm just wondering if this is the stock carb.if so what should the needle be set clip 3rd down from top

I got her running today, I had a 60 jet in carb from previous owner.so I put a 50 in and she will wheelie in every gear now. So now it's time to put on the new plastics I have and look in to a new head pipe
