Need to replace a YTM200e bottom end....

As stated above in the title. Lost first gear in my YTM200e and am trying to hunt down a working replacement. Not having any luck.... can I use a bottom end from a yfm200? Wondering if they are the same. The YFM200 quad came with reverse, so I don't know if that immediately makes it inherently more difficult. I'm most interested in a direct swap.

Has anyone been down this road? Thanks

I'd say that it should work. The reverse won't make any difference to your trike. It will work fine. I just put a 225dr engine on my 225dx. I call it a 225 dx/r. I did have to change the wiring harness too. I couldn't get spark with the dx harness and both trike were running. Keep that in mind. If you're still not sure, take the quad engine and see if it will bolt on the trike before you tear either apart.
