View Full Version : 84 250r intake carburetor rubber?

Guys I need a new carburetor intake rubber for my 84 250r! The one on my trike has a patch job. Can the 85/86 fit as you can buy them new? Or anyone now where I could get one, eBay has an 83 but looks old.

The 85-89 250r intake will fit but it angles to the left and wont line up with the airbox. Some guys use the UPP after market intake for the fl 350 odyssey. Or buy an after market 6 bolt banshee Cheeta intake and have it machined.237523

Here are some pics of the Chariot Cheetah banshee intake. A couple members on air-foolers did this on their 82 250r/300r . They ordered 1 and had it machined to change the angle. This should also work on the 83-84 250r. 237524 237525 237526 237527

That one in your pic should work. The Cheetah style I think they said about 15-20 dollars to have in machined. I think the intake cost about 80-90 dollars.

The one above is from a cr250, 78 to 80!
Will the boot rubber be short? Would you know?

It maybe shorter. You can run a reed spacer if you go that route. Im not sure what size carb came on the early cr 250.

What is the standard carby size for the 1984 250R? is it 30mm? And with the reed spacer that will just bolt on, I have found one on ebay.

Yes it bolts on under your reed cage. Stock 83-84 250r carb is 30 mill.
