just bought another 86 250r

just bought a 86 250r, previous owner had done a very nice restoration in 2012 but I will end up stripping it down and making perfect. the white one pictured is the last one I built a few years ago and I plan on topping that one when I build this one. the bike I just bought the owner claimed it has a 310 kit but I really doubt since it has a stock jug on it. either way it nice. will start to rip it down here soon.

Looks like a nice project. You sure that's not an 85?

It's a 86,. Hg had the motor done in black and put on the 85 style headlight bezel.

Ahhhh, first order of business is change that back to silver :)

in about a month or so it will be completely stripped down and all parts will be brought back to correct colors. i even have all bolts, nuts and other hardware replated to be like new. i have a set of stock wheels coming in as well that i will fix any little dents or dings and have rediped with gold anodizing. cant wait to get started.

Cool build. Your white one is sweet. Id like to redo my 85 250r back to as close to oem as I can. Iv had it since 4/85. Im building a second 85 for racing. Iv been collecting parts for about a year. Good luck on your build can wait to see it done.
