Hello, I am new to the forum and just had a few questions about a 200x that I am looking at buying. The engine is good the frame is straight and no cracks. Rebuilt shocks on both ends. The rear plastics are all smashed up but I am already looking into getting replacements from Maier. The only other problem is the exhaust is pretty rusted out with a lot of holes in the bottom of the muffler. it is priced at $1100 is it worth it? Thanks.

Where do you live, price does depend on that, in Miami a fully restored one won't sell for more than 1500 so in florida that looks like 800 to me. Does it have title? Does it run 100%?

I sold this fully restored here in NJ for $1500.00. New cam, piston, and rings.
$600 to $800 is all I would pay for it. Your probably going to have to put a fair amount of money and time to get it where you want.

yea that is way more than I would ever spend on a first gen x in that condition that is a 400 to 500 dollar trike.

I can see it go for $1,100. Remember this is Canadian funds. It would be around $750-$800 American.

I picked up mine in Ontario, Canada. Kind of a rare thing here also. Got mine for $700.00 which is a great price as it had 3 brand new tires. I was first in line for it. Guy had over 100 emails in a day about it.

I think it will go fast.IMHO

So around 818.00 US? are you going to restore it with new plastics, not terrible rear tires, etc? If so, I would pass. Also I would ask for the receipts for the front fork and rear monoshock rebuild...I would highly doubt those have been rebuilt....probably more like re-charged and fluid changed. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 600 Canadian for that, even with a title.

250R, 200X ,350X are rare here in Canada.Next would be the 250SX. The big Reds are not that bad, 200M etc are not bad

It is all about location. Tons of great deals in the USA. Depending. I have seen prices all over the map. Getting anything shipped here is a joke.

Guy's are all over the internet here looking for 200X, 350X and 250R. Wanted posts.

It is like Canada is Mars or something. :)

The rear tires are in pretty good shape and he might throw in a second set of rears with good tires. And yes i am looking to put new plastics i think the closeouts are $200 cad.

At the end of the day, if it's worth it to you and you are happy, then buy it. As long as your comfortable with the price, that's all that matters. As rob said, location plays a HUGE factor. You can drool all day at the west coasts prices...

Ya. I was wondering what was going on with the one you were looking at. :)

Link was gone so I could not see what was being offered. I am on the 200X FB page. Hard to find anything in Canada for most part. There is a guy in Quebec that has some stuff. Way too far for me to travel...

Yeah same here in Winnipeg, Manitoba not too many trike parts. There are sometimes but you gotta search for them.

So I did end up getting the 200x! After I went to see the guy it was not running. So the guy completely tore down the engine are replaced the crank, bearings and seals. Runs first kick now! Only thing that I need is some new rear fenders and to finish cleaning it up. I'll try to get some more pictures

Good. Welcome to the club. I hope an autox still counts as a 200x. If not, I guess I'm not a member.
