Put these new shorty levers on. Very happy. Very easy install. In case anyone is wondering, the trx model ones fit my 85 atc perfect. The clutch feels great. Got rid of the universal lever I had, it always had a weird pull and felt cheap. The brake lever fit right up. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170103/57b1c59d7bfa290091d9c145196e0746.jpg
Also did a 40t rear sprocket and gold chain. I think it looks great. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170103/78db27721a3b80e9eaa1350b07d71e4c.jpg

So my swingarm is about +6". It's made from two stock ones I believe. Whoever made it ground away any chain slider mounts I think. Any suggestions how I can have a chain slider mounted without drilling through the swinger?

Are those F3's?

Did you do the brake lever too? If so I am interested how you got those to mate up. I used C6's on my 85 and I had to use a TRX master cylinder so the brake lever would work.

Maybe that's the difference between the F3's and C6's...they fit better.

The other problem I had is I wanted to utilize my OEM kill switch. If you use it in the stock location you have to change the back plate or you will never get the clutch lever to pull correctly.

Personally not a fan. Glad you like them! Nice toys :). Without drilling, get out the welder.

Yaegerb- yes those are f3s. And yes I did front brake. So the way it worked is, I have a generic front master cylinder. It's not stock, I found it on eBay, it appears to be like a 1 off of stock, it's not built like crap but it's deff not oem. The lever fit directly into it. The only issue was I used the bolt and nut from the original set up, not the asv provided one. And I didn't use the bushing either. Sounds strange but there is no slop at all. Fits great. Works great. If you like I'm sure I can dig up exactly what master cylinder I have and let you know.

Atc007- I'm eventually going to acquire some sort of race/ rare after market swingarm. The one I'm running is totally smooth and painted, not really into grinding bare spots to weld. Not a huge deal right now

Yeagerb- I also run no electrical on my handlebars, no kill switch, no lights. My on/off is rerouted under my seat near the silencer hanger with a toggle switch. I plan on doing the same for lights

Replace that OEM chain slider with a TM designworks slider. You will have to remove the swingarm but will not need another tensioner/slider if you run the TM style.

Its all good.

I have been down this road and if you did have OEM you wouldn't be able to utilize those levers. that's why I got a TRX Master. My guess is the front brake master you have may be a TRX design or close to it. I just want people to be aware that if you want to utilize the stock switches/perches, its not a quick install. Don't want a guy coming on here later and saying...danny2stroke said this was a quick swap :)

I am glad it worked out for ya though.

Danny looks awesome, I just ordered one for my 84 250r but in black! I have the ASV levers on my trail bikes, expensive but great levers.

Sick looking wheeler and nice levers! Sounds like ASV has been selling a lot of levers lately. I just received the exact same ones in the mail today that I ordered for myself for Christmas for my 350x.

I have them on my 06 yz250 too. Unfortunately I've dropped that bike a few times. They legit don't brake. Just bend and if you're careful you can bend them back.

Levers are sweet, I'm not a huge fan of the "fat feel" of the ASV levers personally but still run them on a couple bikes hahah
Check out upp or moose for a case saver for your 250R too. They're nice and beefy. Seems like most 250r cases have thrown a chain once or twice and broke the bolts.
Definitely a nice 250r you have there.

I like this case saver:

They also have a nice chain slider for the 350X

I saw that you didn't have the on/off switch beside the clutch where did you relocate the switch?
