Got the re-painted motor back in yesterday, plus newly painted kicker, shifter, foot pegs and some other goodies. Also put on OEM replica fork boot covers that are a darker blue. Still need to put the rest of it back together, maybe this afternoon. See if these pics work.

Looks amazing! Now please, for the sake of all good and holy in the ATC world, loosen that chain up! I'm sure you haven't finalized the adjustment. I just get nervous around 2nd gen 200X's, you never find them as nice as yours.

Yeah, the chain needs adjusted, just another thing to add to my list...lol. I usually have about a half in slack in it otherwise it clangs against the lower skid plate. It's a new chain, so it probably will "stretch" a little more over time.

Need some help. I can't remember where the rear parking break cable runs, meaning is it between the motor and cross bar on the frame or does it run on top of the crossbar? Maybe the pic will help. Thanks, Kevin

As i remember it goes between the back of kicker case and motor mount. There's an ok pic of it here on this really nice bike.

Ah, I see, thanks Shep. That is a great trike. I can't figure out where some of these lucky souls find all these NOS parts. See some on eBay, but the prices are crazy, like $2,600 for an 87 200x rear fender still in the Hondaline plastic! No thanks, I'll stick with Maier...lol.

When i started collecting parts 2008-ish i was on ebay 3-4 times a day, the prices were a bit more reasonable back then.
I just bought when the price was right, there were good deals if you were quick on the draw. I dont think i could afford to piece together another bike nowadays, (the kids are getting older so the toys are getting bigger.) Luckily i still have lots of extra parts. Nevermind all the $ i spent stocking up on new parts. Not much left through honda anymore except nuts, bolts and washers. But if your patient you'll usually find what u need by a seller that doesnt know what there selling.
Nothing wrong with maier fenders atleast theres an option for us.

Hey shindig, the trike looks fantastic! Excellent work so far. I am curious as to what those rear tires are? I have just purchased an 86 Tecate 3 for a full restoration and am looking around at rear tires for it and yours look pretty good.

Thanks it's coming along. The tires are SunF AO-22, 20x10x9. I had 22x11's on it initially, but they looked too big. My younger brother actually bought the SunF's for his 350x and decided they looked too small for the 350, so we swapped out. It makes the 200x look better with more fender to tire gap.

Well got most of the trike back together. I dropped a socket wrench while I was working on it today and of course it landed on the grab bar and chipped the paint, so of course I pulled it off, sanded it down and primered. Probably repaint in a few days.

Couple pics of course :)
