Bought a 1983 atc200 off my buddy. He bpught it to get running then part out. But it was in great shape besides having a geo 125 gas tank and needing the water drained out of the tank
Motor ran like a dream and doesn't burn oil. Starts first pull in -20. I offered him $500 for it and he took it so I'm currebtly water proofing it and tinkering away at it. The chain gaurd was worn thorugh along the rear sprocket and I've seen many cases split becauce of broken chains so i decided to see what i could do about it.
I found and old rear differential skid plate off of my 500 magnum/425 Xpedition and with a Little bracket. Sone self threaders (in the main body of the factory skid plate not in the chaincase part) i made a pretty bullet proof add on that still allows for easy chain cover removal

...just about the only thing that POS polaris was ever good for

Another question is what parts can be used to make a 200 with disk brakes ...front or rear doesnt matter i just need atleast one.

maybe they should not run a chain until it breaks
