87 200x tranny problems

just wanted to know if anybody knew if 86 transmission would fit in 87 bottom end?

I won't swear to it, but I think they're the same engines. I think you could do it. Hope someone will be able to give you a definate answer soon.

Hello, unless you already have the 86 tranny, gaskets and have split the 86/87 case before it may be easier just to pick up a 86 lower end. Then just swap your parts over like topend side covers, kicker assembly. The parts to fix yours would be i think half the cost of this ebay bottom end but swapping lower ends would be easier In the long run. http://ebay.to/2lSp4fV
