In A Perfect World ATC70 wiring

I would like to change the stator on my '84 ATC70 to a Z50A-K2 type, and use a K2 wiring harness and coil. This would easily allow me to add a keyed ignition, headlight, and most important to me, a brake light.
In a perfect world, the Z50 brake cable with the in-line brake switch would fit...I haven't checked that one. It would mean bypassing the neutral switch and a little modifying to the harness, but I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Anyone tried?

I used the pointless ignition sold by an outfit in Malaysia( I know sounds weird) but he's on Ebay and you give him engine number and such. It was the best thing I ever did and would not hesitate to do it on more. It offers a higher output coil for headlight and taillight and is completely bolt in super easy!

I was thinking of that option...but parts from Malaysia kind of put me off. I'll rethink. Thanks
