Hello 3wheelerworld,
I just recently purchased an '84 Honda 200ES Big Red in pretty good condition. This is my first 3 wheeler, wanted one since I was a kid.I had to replace the front brakes but the guy I bought it from gave me 2 new sets, a spare engine, a spare headlight cage, bunch of miscellaneous wiring harness, plus other odds and ends. The machine runs great, everything works except for the outlet by the headlight. It might just be a fuse or something else simple, haven't toyed with it much. I'm in the process of installing a Superwinch LT2500 after I get a mount plate made up to replace the front rack. Here is a few pics of it fresh off the truck.

Yea I'm in the middle of wiring a glo light brake/taillight, the rear hand lever was replaced and didn't have a parking brake lever on it. So after pointless searching I took a gamble and bought a Honda Rancher 400FA rear hand brake lever with perch for $11.25 with shipping off eBay. I had to tap the sleeve where the cable went with a 8mmX1.25 pitch tap and the old adjuster screw and lock nut now works perfectly. As a bonus it already had a brake light pressure switch built into the Rancher lever. So I'll post some more pics this weekend!

Welcome to the trike world. Nice ride. :)

Why a winch on the front? Plan on getting stuck. :p

Heard a couple people say a battery tender (trickle charger) is a nice addition if sitting for a bit in the garage or whatever.

The winch will mostly be used during hunting, and I had a $75 gift card to Cabelas. The Superwinch LT2500 was on sale for $109. With the gift card it only cost me $34 out of pocket. It needs a new battery eventually, the one that's in it now slowly drains down. But yeah a tender will be a wise investment. But it doesn't sit to long. I've been riding almost everyday since I bought it 3 weeks ago. I'm looking to upgrade the headlight to led, possibly a 4x6 unit if it will fit the housing.

Light looks great, and nice output. Is it a direct fit and could you direct me to where you purchased it.

also, Did you add the capacitor and rectifier to your lighting circuit?

No did not add a rectifier or capacitor, the 200es already has a factory taillight. I bought the taillight and bracket from Amazon.com. It's a 6" oval stainless bracket and 6" oval Glo Light. The taillight is also a brake light comes with the rubber grommet and 3 wire pigtail. All for $31 or $32. I replaced the brunt out fuse under the seat for the front 12v dc outlet and spliced into that wire for the power for the brake light. The Rancher 400FA brake lever I swapped to has a built in pressure switch. I did have to drill two 5/16 holes in the bracket to match the holes through the tool box that held the factory light. Sorry that I'm repeating myself from previous post. Light is super bright.
