I bought this air impac at a thrift store for $2.After a good cleaning and some oil it works great. Last Saturday I went to the dump and someone threw a realy nice 10 inch compound mitre saw in the scap bin. I snagged it and put a new cord on it works great and has laser.I find a lot of tools laying in the road I stop and pick them up. The tools with lifetime warranty are a bonus. 240515 240516

I always have good luck finding good stuff at thrift shops my dad last week recieved a McCulloch mac 110 chainsaw from a guy how said it went underwater well my dad took it home and saw no water in either the oil or the fuel so he pulled the rope and the thing started on the second pull. all of our tools and equipment are either craftsmen, harbor freight special and juck we have found or been given.

In probably 1997 or 1998 I found a cordless Snap-on impact gun, which I still have incidentally. It was in the middle of the road, obviously fell off a tow truck. The batteries died in probably 2008 or so, but the thing was the tits prior to that. I still have it because up until about two months ago I never sold anything, I'd hang on to everything for years. It's been for sale for a while now but nobody has bit, probably because it's difficult to get batteries for and it's probably obsolete.

EDIT: It was probably closer to 2000 when I found it.

Last summer I pulled a McCullloch chainsaw from the same dumpster that I found the mitre saw in an it runs great needs a clutch. I always scope the scap metal dumpster for gems. Found 6 nice fishing reels couple years ago .

A couple summers ago the wife pulls in the driveway and tells me to look in the back of her truck. She said she picked up a big metal thing with bars on it, it was laying out in the road. I opened the bed cover to find a like new bifold aluminum atv ramp. My father inlaw is always finding goodies on the sides of the road. Tools, chains, straps, and a huge piece of steel catwalk grating.

I had a good year with free stuff.
Early summer I found an old Ryobi weed eater that just needs a fuel line. Mid summer I found a bench top harbor freight blast cabinet. I picked it up to toss in my trunk and it was way heavier than it looked. Popped open the door and its full of glass beads.
Early fall I stopped for some bar stools at the end of someone's driveway. The homeowner was outside and yelled down "hey! Do you want a barrel stove?"

Um hell yeah I do. My current maple syrup evaporator is a barrel stove but it's rusted through so this was perfect timing.
The new one is a much heavier gauge steel as well. It was for fiberglass resin.
