Hi, i am new here. Firs please excuse my english. Im from Finland (northern europe), and this is the first foreng language site i am in. I hope you all understand what i am trying to say.

A little story of my honda. Three wheelers are quite rare here. My grand fathers sister lives in canada. Grandfather was visitin her early -80, and there he see teas macines. He think, i need one. Back in Finland, he find a honda dealer and bought one. He used it for net fishing under ice. Several times it go thrue thin ice, but lucyle nobody ever drowned. He also used it to travel to work. He was a local carpenter/fisher man.

So this atv has been in hard work most of it life. Once i make a small top end service, honed cylinder and lapping the valves. This give a little bit more years to the engine. In 2004 it stop running. I opened the top end. Cam chain tensioner broken, snapped in 2 peaces, cam sproket worn, piston worn. The new parts were really expensive here, so the atv was just forgotten..

Grandfather pass away in 2006, and my uncle got the atv. He is a little bit drunk, so i know, he never fix it. So, 2 yers ago a bought it from him, for 100€ ( at the moment 1€=1$)

I could tell more about the project, but it take me about 45min to write this far, im tired. Maybe i continue later.

Here is some pictures and videos of my honda.

Welcome to the site. Awesome job at your English. :)

Great story. I love the indicator to show what gear you are in. I have never seen that done before.

Thank guys. I have one question. My uncle says, that dealer offered accessories reverse gear on it, but my granfather didnt take it. Is that true, can i buy reverse gear on it?
Exact model is Honda atc 200e -83, chain drive. My frend has -84 model, and he has reverse gear and shaft drive.

I dont know, do i nead one, but i want one :p

On the other hand, i have a 6 months old daughter, and i am tryin to fix room to her upstairs. Not a lot of money to spend. It might be hard to explain to the misses why the room has no wall paper. BECAUSE I WANNA GO BACKWARDS WITH MY 3WHEELER.

No way to add reverse that I'm aware. Your baby will be glad.

I thought there was a rare reverse kit that went in the hi/lo gear box?

If you could find a TRX200sx, they have the same engine and reverse. You could change the engines. I think that's the model of quad.

Thanks man. So it do exist. If i would manage to find one uninstalled, in original box, i should just put it in storage, wait for 30 years more and then sell it in auction, for sh#t loud of money, like some star wars figure :D

But seriously, lose of the high range is a little bit turn off for me. Of course you could compensate it by change rear sproket smaller of the final drive.

I was a little bit sceptic of the whole thin existing, because in my owners manual have 2 accessories, front basket and tripmeter.

But that explain it, that the gear is not manufactured by honda.

ps. In my first post, i say that 3 wheelers are pritty rare here. Well i check out the most popular site here in Finland, where you can sell motorcycles, atc, snowmobile etc. There was 3 on sale. One honda, one kawasaki and one russian one, check this out https://www.nettimoto.com/muu-merkki/muu-malli/2110091

One too many zero on the prise imo.

That's actually incorrect.
